There are 2 airports in Indonesia's capital. The majority of flights to Bali leave from Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta Airport (CGK), but a few airlines use Jakarta Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport (HLP). Check your flight booking to make sure you go to the right airport and don't miss your flight.
Soekarno-Hatta is the larger of the airports and has more facilities. Flights check in at 3 terminals, depending on your airline. You should aim to check in at least 1 hour before your flight to Bali, as counters close 45 minutes before departure.
Arriving in Bali
Bali (Denpasar) Airport (DPS) is the only international airport serving Bali. It's just a few kilometres from the popular resort areas, with taxi fares as low as 50,000 rupiah (AU$4) and buses as cheap as 20,000 rupiah (AU$1).
After picking up your luggage, you can get local currency from an ATM or currency exchange, book tours or head straight to your accommodation. If you're planning to explore, you can also hire a car from Bali Airport for your stay.
