Why Fly With Vietnam Airlines?

Ways To Check-In

Passengers can check in two ways with Vietnam Airlines; the first is online check in where you will be able to register for your flight 24 hours before departure. However, please double check that this service is available from your departing hub, as web check in is not fully established across all airports. For airport check in, the airline advises that you arrive at the airport with 60 minutes to spare for domestic flights, and 120 minutes for international ones in order to give you enough time for baggage drop, as well as security and immigration checks. You can check in at the self-service kiosks if they are available, or at the staffed VA counters.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Business Class passengers may check one bag of up to 30kg and take two cabin bags onboard the flight. For Economy and Premium Economy passengers this is reduced to one checked bag at 20kg, and one piece of hand luggage. The weight and linear dimensions must be kept to 7kg and 115cm for all cabin bags.

Please be aware that checked baggage with Vietnam Airlines is set to an overall limit of 32kg and linear dimensions of 203cm, and any passengers exceeding that weight will be asked to repack the bag. If you cannot reduce the weight Vietnam Airlines offers a cargo service, which ships much heavier items that are not suitable for a commercial flight.
