Coffs Harbour is a tiny airport, but has enough facilities to make the transit fairly comfortable. Passengers will find an ATM and a small café to grab refreshments in before the flight.

Arriving in: Adelaide Airport only has one terminal, and all flights are directed here.

Adelaide Airport is small, but comprehensive, and passengers transiting through ADL will find it a hassle-free experience. There are ATMs, postal and currency exchange services, free WiFi and decent selection of eateries, from casual dining to fast food options.

Transport

You will find the taxi rank outside the terminal, on the left of the pedestrian plaza. A journey in a taxi will cost you around $20-25 to get into the city centre, depending on traffic.

There is public transport available through Adelaide Metro, called the JetExpress that runs directly from the airport to the city. Visitors can find these buses leaving from Stop 10 on Airport Road, on the South East Side.

Of course, a popular option is to rent a car, and you can find the rental desks for all the major car hire companies on the ground level of the terminal, next to the baggage claim area.

Though this is a domestic flight, you must carry photo identification with you. This can be a social security card, a driver’s license or your passport. Please note: if you are an international traveller flying within Australia, it is recommended that you use your passport as your primary form of identification.

How long should you leave to get to the airport?

As this is a domestic flight departing and arriving in domestic terminals, it is recommended that you check in at least 45-60 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please be aware that if you are travelling in a group, or are going on to a connecting flight, that you arrive 90-120 minutes before departure time.

Weather: Adelaide has a very temperate climate, and visitors here will find that the winters are mild but wet and average around 7-8°C, whilst the summers are warm and dry, reaching highs of 29°C.

Though Adelaide is far bigger than Coffs Harbour, it is on the whole quite a bit cheaper. Going out for a three-course meal for two will cost around $80 in this city.
