Flights from Coffs Harbour

Coffs Harbour Airport is the sole airport in the regional centre of Coffs Harbour, Australia, situated south of the city, near Boambee. The airport is served by Qantas, QantasLink, Virgin Australia, and Tiger Airways Australia. The airport is one of the largest and busiest regional airports in New South Wales, and is easily accessible as it is located right at the doorstep of the Pacific Highway, linking Coffs Harbour and the surrounding areas to the airport.

Coffs Harbour is a coastal city situated on the north coast of the state of New South Wales on the east coast of Australia, approximately 540 kilometres north of Sydney and 390 kilometres south of Brisbane. Coffs Harbour is known to have the most liveable climate in Australia.

Where to go

Coffs Harbour Airport handles domestic flights to Sydney and Melbourne. Commonly mistaken as the capital of Australia, Sydney is in fact just the state capital of New South Wales. The confusion is perhaps based on the city being so popular, especially for its very iconic multi-venue performing arts centre Sydney Opera House. Other attractions in Sydney include Wild Life Sydney, Luna Park Sydney, Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, Taronga Zoo, Sydney Tower, and the Australian National Maritime Museum. As for Melbourne, the capital of the state of Victoria, there are plenty of tourist destinations too. A few examples are the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne Zoo, Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, Queen Victoria Market, Werribee Open Range Zoo, and the Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex.

Coffs Harbour Airport only serves domestic flights, particularly Sydney and Melbourne, and therefore does not handle international flights, short haul or long haul. For travellers who want to fly out of Coffs Harbour cities in nearby countries that are at most six hours away, the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport and the Sydney Kingsford-Smith Airport are well connected to various destinations around the world.

Similarly, Coffs Harbour Airport currently does not handle long haul international flight. It only flies to the major airports in Melbourne and Sydney, from which travellers can use to fly out of Australia to major cities in the world including Toronto, Beijing, Delhi, London, Dubai, and Los Angeles.
