Getting there

Cairns Airport is situated around 6.4 km by road from the Cairns city centre. There are a number of public transport options to get you there for your flight. The Airport Connect shuttle offers transfers from Cairns city centre to the airport. You need to pre-book your ticket and hail the Sun Palm Transport bus from the C9 Bus Stop on Sheridan Street. The journey takes around 7 minutes. If you are driving to the airport, there is plenty of parking available at T1, and prices are around $69 for 2-3 days, with each day costing $15 thereafter.

Terminal information

Getting there

Auckland Airport is located around 20km by road from Auckland city centre, and is well connected to the city and surrounding areas by various transport options. SkyBus is a bus transfer service between Auckland City and Auckland Airport, and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The journey from the airport takes around 40-60 minutes, and an adult one way ticket starts at NZ $16 (around $15.25 AUD). If you wish to take a taxi, taxi and shuttle ranks are outside the arrivals area (door 8) at the international terminal. Shuttles are also available for around $33 per person.

Terminal information

Flights from Cairns will fly into Auckland’s international terminal. Those transferring or catching an onward domestic flight will need to travel to the domestic terminal with the free inter-terminal bus.
