Tokyo's airports are very far apart, so it's important to check your booking or printed flight ticket and make sure you go to the right place.

Haneda Airport is closer to the centre of Tokyo, taking 23 minutes from Tokyo Station. From Narita Airport, the journey takes around 1 hour. Whichever airport your flight to Hong Kong departs from, you should try to arrive for check-in 3 hours before departure.

Arriving in Hong Kong

Hong Kong International (HKG) is around 40km from the city centre. All airlines arrive at Terminal 1, a huge facility that has a wide selection of shopping and dining options, ATMs and foreign exchange and other services you can make use of before heading into the city.

You can travel to Hong Kong or Kowloon by bus, express train, shuttle transfer or taxi. The Airport Express rail link takes 20 minutes to Kowloon and 24 minutes to Hong Kong station, while a bus can take twice as long. Another option is car hire from Hong Kong International.
