Arriving in Puerto Princesa (Palawan)
Puerto Princesa Airport (PPS) is the main gateway to the island of Palawan. Its new passenger terminal opened in 2017. This can accommodate more passengers and larger aircraft than the old airport and has a slightly wider range of facilities, including cafes and Wi-Fi, although you should take care of any cash needs while you're still in Manila or after arriving in town.
The airport is close to the city centre, so the most common form of transport is to take a motor tricycle to your accommodation. Taxis are rare in Puerto Princesa. You can also take the public jeepney or arrange a pick-up from your hotel.
