Ways To Check-In

Check in is available online with PAL Express, just log onto the Philippine Airlines website to manage your booking, check in will open 24 hours before the flight, and close 2 hours before take off. You can also check in at the airport, just ensure that you arrive between one and two hours before your flight to ensure you pass through all the require security checks at the airport.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Carry ons are accepted onto the plane, but these must meet linear dimensions of 115cm and weight within 7kg.

For domestic flights Economy passengers are given an allowance of 10-20kg depending on your fare type, and whether you are travelling on the smaller Dash aircraft. Premium Economy is allowed up to 25kg, while Business and Premium Business are able to check 30 or 35kg. If you’re travelling from Australia on a Philippine Airlines flight, Economy passengers will be entitled to check 30kg, and Business Class 40kg. Any overweight baggage will be charged at high rates, or you may be asked to repack.


Passengers can select their seats upon web check-in. However, if you wish to be seated at the Exit Row, you must meet the following criteria: must be above 15 years of age; not elderly; must be physically and mentally fit, without hearing or visual impairment or other disabilities; should have sufficient mobility, strength, or agile in both arms and hands, and both legs; should be able to speak in English, understand and carry out instructions; should not be travelling with infant or children below 15 years old or someone that needs his/her assistance during emergency situation; should acknowledge the exit row briefing that will be given out by the Cabin Crew once on board the aircraft; and must be willing to assist the Cabin Crew during an emergency evacuation situation.

Booking Fees

Your seat will be assigned to you when you book, but you can change seats with PAL Express for a fee.

In-Flight Service

For domestic flights, there will be snacks and drinks you can purchase, but for longer haul flights, you will be offered complimentary meals and beverages. If you are flying long-haul and have dietary restrictions, you can order special meals directly from the airline, just be sure to advise them 24 hours in advance.

Children from 8-11 can travel alone on PAL Express flights, but they must travel on the charged Unaccompanied Minor service. Please inform and contact the airline prior to your child’s travel.
