Broome is a small airport but fully functional. The facilities here are surprisingly comprehensive. With free WiFi throughout the airport, luggage lockers and long term parking. There is also a pleasant bar and café (Nakamura’s) which is open all hours that the airport operates, and a gift shop where transiting passengers can purchase some of Broome’s famed pearls.

Your Destination Airport

Kununurra Airport (KNX)

Arriving in: There is only one main terminal that services all incoming flights to KNX.

Though KNX Airport underwent an expansion, this is still a very tiny regional airport. It does have a café where you can pick up refreshments, but otherwise the facilities are very few. However, it is a breezy distance from town, situated a mere 2.5km outside of the town centre.

Transport

There are a few taxi companies that service the airport; these are the Kununurra Taxi Service, Yellow Taxis and Burt Taxi Service. For a speedy pick-up it’s best to call ahead.

For car hire, you can go to the desks located within the terminal on arrival, though we strongly recommended that you book in advance, especially during Kununurra’s peak season (May-September). This can be done through the Visitor Centre of the area, or with our easy-to-use car hire search tool
