Departing from Perth
Perth Airport (PER) is 12km from the CBD. It consists of 2 buildings split into 4 terminals:

- Terminal 4 for Qantas
It's important to check which terminal your flight to Kathmandu departs from, as the buildings are located 15 minutes apart, connected by a free transfer bus. Aim to arrive at Perth Airport 3 hours before an international flight.
Arriving in Kathmandu
Kathmandu Airport (KTM), or Tribhuvan International, is the international gateway to Nepal and Everest. It has 2 terminals housed in 1 building, with flights from Perth arriving at the international terminal. Here, you can take out local currency from ATMs and foreign exchange, book tours or hire a car before heading to your Kathmandu hotel.
The airport is 6km from the city centre. If you haven't already arranged a transfer with your accommodation, you can take a taxi (Rs 800) or leave the airport to catch a public bus from outside the airport gates (from Rs 10). If you're renting a car, you're required to use a driver also.
