Colombo Bandaranayake Airport (CMB) is the main international airport serving Sri Lanka's capital. The airport has 2 terminals – International and Domestic – with a new International Terminal scheduled to open in 2019. This will accommodate more passengers and have more modern facilities.
To get from the airport to the city, you can take an air-conditioned taxi from outside the terminal or the public bus to the central bus station, although this may be uncomfortable and is much slower. You can also hire a car from the airport if you're prepared for the country's driving conditions.
Some connecting flights may arrive at Colombo Ratmalana Airport (RML).
