Airlines that fly from Frankfurt to London
Two airlines serve the route between Frankfurt, Germany via Frankfurt Airport and London, United Kingdom via either London Heathrow Airport or London City Airport. These airlines include Lufthansa and British Airways, two of the biggest air carriers in Europe and in the world. Both airlines provide at least 17 direct flights per day.
Several airlines also provide connecting flights from Frankfurt to London. These airlines include Luxair, Lufthansa, British Airways, KLM, Cityjet, Swiss International Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Air France. Possible stop-over cities include Luxembourg, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Brussels, Zurich, Paris, and Munich.
Terminal Information
Depending on the airline, passengers may use either of the two terminals that are publicly available and active at Frankfurt Airport. Alternately, they may also be able to use the dedicated First Class Terminal for Lufthansa, if they are flying first class through the said airline. Generally, British Airways and its subsidiary BA City Flyer, makes use of Terminal 2 Concourse E, while non-first class flyers of Lufthansa will be using Terminal 1 Concourse A, Terminal 1 Concourse B, or Terminal 1 Concourse C. All above-mentioned terminals are equipped with great check-in and security services, retail facilities, and features for passengers with reduced mobility. Each terminal also has its own baggage handling services, waiting areas, and other necessities for an airport of service.
Flights from Frankfurt will either be arriving through the magnanimous five-terminal London Heathrow Airport, or through the minor international London City Airport. Both airports, as is with the other city airports of London, are well-endowed with services and facilities for arriving passengers. Ground transportation facilities are non-issues here, as travellers may access almost any type of transportation imaginable and possible in London through both airports.
Practical Information
Since this is a regional and international flight, travellers should be at the airport of Frankfurt at least two hours before their departure times. Check-in desks for several select airlines also open the night before the flight for two to three hours. Some airlines also have self-service check-in machines. Upon check-in, passengers should present their passport and identity cards with picture and signature, as well as their flight itineraries so as to confirm their bookings. They should also be knowledgeable about baggage restrictions and weight limits, and other issues.
