Things you need to know

Weather: Glasgow is quite far north in the UK, and so the weather can be much cooler than what you may be used to in Perth. Summer is a very popular time to visit because the days are extremely long, and the weather is warmer and generally dry, with highs of around 20°C in the summer months of July and August. However, winter (December-February) is also popular, as there is access to skiing outside of the city, and a nice time of year if you are feeling festive. Be warned though, lows during this season can sink to 2-3°C.

Glasgow on the whole is much cheaper than Perth. Going out in the town especially will be lighter on your wallet. Expect a three-course dinner for two in the city, to cost around 40GBP ($85).
