Arriving in: There is only one terminal building, though you will find the international and domestic gates on different sides of the airport.
Glasgow Airport is a nice airport to fly into as it is pretty well organised. You will find all the facilities you need upon arrival, such as ATMs, payphones, and a currency exchange. If you’re hungry when you get in, there are lots of dining options to choose from, and a variety of retail stores to pick up any last minute gifts. There is also free WiFi for the first 30 minutes, and after that you pay 3GBP ($6) for an hour, or 9GBP ($18) for 24 hours.
Transport
You will find taxis just outside the airport, and unlike the rest of the UK, the fares are actually quite reasonable getting into the city centre. Expect a journey into town to cost around 20-25GBP ($42-52). There are also several public bus options you can take. The fastest is Route 500, taking 20 minutes and costing 6GBP ($12), the other option is Route 747, which takes twice as long (though covers more stops) but is almost half the price at 3.75GBP ($8).
If you are planning to go further afield than the city, the best option might be to rent a car. There are several car hire companies operating out of the airport and you can find them in the domestic arrivals hall.

Yes. This is an international flight, so you are required to carry your passport with you.
How long should you leave to get to the airport?
As this is an international long haul flight, it is recommended that you check in at least 180 minutes before the scheduled departure time for this portion of the flight. Please be aware that if you are travelling in a group, or are going on to a connecting flight, that you must arrive 180 minutes before departure time.

Time difference: Glasgow operates on Daylight Savings Time, so depending on the time of year it can be seven or eight hours behind Perth, Australia.
Weather: Glasgow is quite far north in the UK, and so the weather can be much cooler than what you may be used to in Perth. Summer is a very popular time to visit because the days are extremely long, and the weather is warmer and generally dry, with highs of around 20°C in the summer months of July and August. However, winter (December-February) is also popular, as there is access to skiing outside of the city, and a nice time of year if you are feeling festive. Be warned though, lows during this season can sink to 2-3°C.
Glasgow on the whole is much cheaper than Perth. Going out in the town especially will be lighter on your wallet. Expect a three-course dinner for two in the city, to cost around 40GBP ($85).
