Dublin Airport is well facilitated for transiting passengers. Within the terminals, guests will find access to currency exchange services, pharmacies, cash machines and free WiFi. There is a large retail store called the Loop where you can pick up everything from cosmetics, books, snacks, souvenirs, to travel accessories. There is also a wide range of bars and restaurants to dine in before you depart.

Barcelona Airport (BCN)

Arriving in: Terminal 2

Barcelona Airport is one of Spain’s largest transit hubs, and as such comes with lots of amenities. There are cash machines, postal and information services, as well as multimedia areas and WiFi points throughout the terminals. Passengers will also find duty-free shops, and high street retailers to browse in upon exit, plus a series of dining options to grab refreshments in.

Transport

There is a bus service called the Aerobus, which is fairly cheap and a fast way to get into the city. A single fare costs 5.90EUR ($9) and a return only 10.20EUR ($16) and the journey takes around 30 minutes. The train is a little shorter, at around 25 minutes and 4.10EUR ($6) but you must buy a ten-ride ticket (T10) in order to use the train, and you also must take a free shuttle bus to get to the station in Terminal 2.

Taking a taxi is the fastest, and probably the most convenient way to get into downtown Barcelona, but it is also the most expensive, with a 20-25 minute journey costing approximately 30EUR ($46).

Many prefer to hire a car and drive for the duration of their stay. In BCN Airport you will find most of the major car companies operate out of here, including Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz.
