Cheap flights from Slovenia

The magical landscape of Slovenia is also home to international airports that can help you discover other destinations around Europe and the rest of the world. Slovenia has three major airports that you can fly out of, which offer flights out to Europe, and these are:

·         Portoroz Airport (POW)

Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport (LJU) has a list of destinations that totals around 20, with connections out to larger, more comprehensive airports. The main carrier is Adria Airways, the national airline of Slovenia, plus you can also purchase flights with Turkish Airlines, Wizz Air, Air Serbia, Air France, Montenegro Airlines, LOT and Transavia.

Slovenia can offer you lots of great hops around Europe. Fly to Zurich (ZRH), the Swiss capital filled with Renaissance and medieval architecture, stroll the squares, cobbled laneways, churches, and boutiques of the Old Town, duck into the Museum of Fine Arts and the Swiss National Museum, and then head down to the lakeshore and take in the views of this beautiful city.

The city of Munich (MUC) is also a quick flight away, and this city has lots of attractions; see the Nymphenburg Palace, the Englischer Garten, and spend time in their great central square called the Marienplatz where you can people watch, and grab a coffee.

For long-haul options, we suggest flying to a large hub, like Istanbul (IST). This city not only has a plethora of stunning sights, like the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, and the Basilica Cistern, but it also offers a ton of forwarding destinations to Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

Where to find cheap flights from Slovenia

From Ljubljana’s main airport, you can take advantage of the many low-cost carriers operating in Europe, like Wizz Air and easyJet, which usually offer basic services at cheaper prices, and drive down competing rates by other airlines.

But if you prefer a higher quality service, you can still find bargain basement prices. Get onto our calendar and search for your route over the month, this will throw up all sorts of options where you can save money. Mid-week and late-night routes will offer more economical fares, but sometimes you can just snag a cheap seat by moving your travel plans by a day. Don’t pay over the odds for a preferred route when there’s plenty of ways to find a less expensive option.
