It is the country of Gods and legends. Walking through the cities of Greece, you will find pieces of antiquity at every turn, from articles out of the Archaic period to preserved works from Hellenistic times. That is why Greece resonates with people as a mythical, historic place just by the sound of its name. Coupled with clear beaches and desirable weather, Greece makes a great country to spend your holiday. If you’re planning to leave Greece already, make sure you’ve already stopped by these places:
With a longstanding history, Athens is the origin of modern philosophy, science and culture. Visit the Acropolis of Athens, a hill of rock carved into monumental form to symbolize the spirit of the thoughts and arts. Visit the various museums and try Aegean delicacies such as kopanisti and louses. See the windmills used for grinding grain some 500 years ago and check out the Mykonos Agricultural Museum in the vicinity.
