From Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) passengers can choose from over 100 direct destinations. LOT Polish Airlines is the national carrier for Poland, and is one of the oldest operating airline companies in the world. You’ll find most flights out of Poland are operated by LOT, but you can find plenty of flights with other companies like Wizz Air, Ryanair, SAS, Qatar Airways, airberlin, Air China, Finnair, Air Cairo, Norwegian Air, Alitalia, Swiss Air, and El Al.

If you are in Poland, you must visit Krakow (KRK), as the heart of this town has one of the most impressive medieval Old Towns in Europe. There are also stunning architectural wonders like Wawel Castle, and St. Mary’s Basilica.

There are other treasures across Europe though, such as Barcelona (BCN) where you can explore the town’s Jewish Quarter, and see the UNESCO-listed La Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Gaudi’s neo-Gothic masterpiece.

You can also access some stellar long-haul destinations; and Chicago (ORD) the USA’s Windy City was one of the first towns to embrace the skyscraper, and the rising buildings along Lake Michigan won’t fail to impress you. But beyond that, there are excellent museums, art galleries, parks, and restaurants serving the city’s special; deep-dish pizza!

Where to find cheap flights from Poland

Warsaw (WAW) and Krakow (KRK) are the most comprehensive hubs in the country, and will provide the most options in terms of routes and rates. Wizz Air is a popular low-cost carrier, but easyJet and Ryanair operate flights to and from Poland, and these offer competitive rates.

However, for long-haul flights the key is booking in advance. If you aren’t able to do that, Skyscanner will scour the internet for the cheapest routes available, but you can up your chances of a solid deal by being flexible, and checking the calendar tool. Evaluating the changing rates over a full month can help you pinpoint the day, or the week that is the cheapest time to fly.
