There are loads of short-haul flights ranging from one hour to four from Doha in Qatar. Fly to Tehran (THR) in two hours, and see the Golestan Palace, a beautiful 16th century dwelling that has since been turned into a museum, shop in the Grand Bazaar, and duck into the National Museum of Iran

In around five hours, you can be enjoying the perfect sands of the exotic Maldives (MLE), where diving, dining, and sunbathing make up the itinerary.

Or board a flight for 14 hours and find yourself in the charming city of Sydney (SYD). Visitors can see the iconic Opera House and the Darling Harbour Bridge, shop in the Queen Victoria Building, dine at the top of Sydney Tower, or head to Bondi and duck into the trendy cafes, and sunbathe on the golden stretch that has become synonymous with Sydney life.
