The airports with scheduled passenger services total around five hubs. However, the largest facility offering the most non-stop routes, is the Entebbe International Airport (EBB), that is situated roughly 45km away from Kampala, the capital.

You cannot be in Uganda without taking the opportunity to make the most of its natural beauty. Fly to Pakuba (PAF), where safari trips leave. Here, you will have the chance to see hippopotamus, giraffes, antelopes, buffalo, leopards, lions, and elephants.

Uganda’s main city of Entebbe offers quick flights of four hours to Cairo (CAI) the capital of Egypt and the gateway to many of its ancient treasures. Visit its beautiful Mosque of Muhammad Ali, shop in the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, and couple the incredible Egyptian Museum with the might of the monolithic Giza Pyramids.

You can also connect to Amsterdam (AMS) from Entebbe, and fall in love with the quaint beauty of this city. The museums here are unreal, with the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Anne Frank House. See the Royal Palace, the Old Church, and simply spend your days strolling along the tree-lined canals of this lovely city.

Flying from Uganda needn’t be expensive, especially when you have the right tools at your disposal. Being savvy about your travel can also help you save money. Our top tips are to be prepared and be versatile. Booking well in advance of your intended departure will help you secure bargain rates, but if you’re booking last minute, being a little bit flexible about when you depart and arrive can mean a world of difference in price.

Look for flights leaving between Monday and Thursday, and services offered by low-cost carriers. Try and arrange your flights out of a large travel hub, as airline competition will keep the prices low.
