This city is known for its antique churches and Houses the Palacio Nacional de la Cultura. Some famous tourist destinations in the city include Mapa en Relieve, Ixchel Museum of traditional costumes, Popol Vuh Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art.

Atlanta is known as the vanguard of the New South. It is famous for its preservation of the Old, balancing southern traditions with new ones. It has several museums around the city and hosts different festivals all year round. Some festivals in Atlanta include the South Eastern Flower Show, the Georgia Renaissance Festival, and the National Black Arts Festival.

Augusto César Sandino International Airport is the main airport in Nicaragua located at Managua. Presently, this airport only offers shout-haul flights to nearby areas. It is advisable to take connecting flights to those areas to fly internationally out of Nicaragua.
