If you are travelling from the lovely city of Tallinn, you will find other beautiful cities to admire in the Baltics. One such gem is Riga (RIG), the capital of Latvia, a city that has had its Old Town listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Drop by the Doma Cathedral, investigate the fascinating exhibitions at the Ethnographic Museum, and spend time in the huge Central Market, where you will be overwhelmed by the delicious food on sale from every stall.

But you need not stay close to home, in three hours you can be shopping in the fashionable streets of Milan (MXP, BGY), home of famous fashion houses like Armani, and Dolce and Gabbana. Or if shopping isn’t your style, visit the incredible Gothic Duomo, a building carved in white stone, or the Sforza Castle, both of which are filled with treasures of sculpture and art.

Twenty minutes or so longer on a plane and you will fly into Istanbul, one of the great treasures of both Europe and Asia. This city that bridges the gap between continents has also bridged the gap between cultures, and you will see this by touring the Grand Bazaar, the Hagia Sophia, and the Topkapi Palace. Then once you have taken in your fill of this beautiful city, you can connect to far reaching destinations all over the world from the city’s primary hub, the Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IST).

Where to find cheap flights from Estonia

Low-cost carriers are a dime a dozen in Europe and booking with these airlines (like Norwegian Air and easyJet) will help out a tight budget. But if you’d rather not fly with the more basic companies, then booking your travel well ahead of your departure date can really help you save.

However, as most of us love a cheeky last-minute deal, Skyscanner has a few ways that you too can save money. Our main piece of advice is to be flexible. Click on our calendar will show you how fares change over the days of the month, and moving your plans by even 24 hours may result in a cheaper fare. Otherwise, look for flights departing Monday-Thursday, or for ones with an extra layover, and you might still bag that bargain.
