Popular destinations from Albury Airport

Start with your domestic options first, such as the nation’s flagship city of Sydney (SYD). This city is filled with many of the iconic building and monuments that have become synonymous with Australia, such as the Opera House, and the Darling Harbour Bridge. Or go to the culture capital instead, Melbourne (MEL), where you can indulge in the wonderful cuisine, and tour the excellent museums. Alternatively, fly north to sunny Brisbane (BNE), where you can dive into the burgeoning music scene there, or drive down to the glitzy Gold Coast (OOL), which is less than an hour away from Brisbane.

If you’d like to leave Australia for your holiday, why not try boarding a short-haul flight of about three to five hours to the delightful capital of New Zealand, Auckland (AKL), or to the lovely isles of Fiji (NAN) and work on your tan. Both of which can be reached from Melbourne (MEL), Sydney (SYD), or Brisbane (BNE).

From those hubs you can also try book an exciting long-haul destination, to places like the sun-soaked city of Los Angeles (LAX). Rent a convertible, and cruise down the coast to Malibu where you can enjoy the golden beaches and the excellent seafood. You can also find your way to a city like Beijing (PEK), where the ancient history of this city is written in its streets. Pick up street snacks from the traditional hutong neighbourhoods, be one of the privileged few to walk into the Forbidden City, or lace up your boots and walk the Great Wall of China, one of the world’s wonders.
