Flights from Hungary

The beautiful European country of Hungary is also well-linked to the rest of the world thanks to its comprehensive travel hubs. Locating where and when you should fly can be done through Skyscanner, where you can compare prices, airlines, and routes.

Several airports serve Hungary and connect it to the rest of the globe, but the primary hub for the nation is the Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD), which is located in the capital of Budapest, and offers almost 90 direct flights to cities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Otherwise, passengers can find connecting and direct flights from:

·         Debrecen International Airport (DEB)

·         Gyor-Per Airport (QGY)

From the main aviation hub in Budapest, you can find flights with Wizz Air, Hungary’s own low-cost airline, which runs most of the routes from this port. There are also flights with Ryanair, Aegean Airlines, easyJet, KLM, airberlin, Eurowings, Brussels Airlines, Iberia, Aeroflot, CSA, Air Baltic, and Italia.

Popular flights from Hungary

A hop, skip, and a jump away are the cities of central Europe. You can enjoy a weekend in Belgrade (BEG), and see the city’s fortress, the Church of Saint Sava, and the Nikola Tesla Museum, a centre dedicated to one of Serbia’s most famous citizens.

Flying a little longer, say four hours can mean sunbathing on the golden sands of Portugal’s Faro (FAO) a stretch of coastline that looks out to the Atlantic. This part of Portugal also boasts a stunning nature reserve called the Ria Formosa Lagoon that you can explore during your stay.

There aren’t any long-haul destinations available directly from Budapest, but you can fly to Dubai (DXB), a hub that offers flights to every corner of the world, and accessible in just over five hours of flight time. The city of Dubai is no slouch either, and guests of this city can investigate its Bedouin past, shop in its lavish malls, and dine in its excellent restaurants.
