For travel in the Cessna 402s, passengers can check one bag at 22kg (50lbs), plus one gate-check bag of up to 9kg (20lbs), and one personal item, such as a handbag, coat or walking stick. On the larger ATR 42s, passengers may check up to 2 pieces at 22kg each, plus one small carry on bag and a personal item.

For the larger checked bags at 22kg, these must be measured no higher than 156cm in linear dimensions, all carry ons that are below 9kg must be within 91cm in linear dimensions. You will be charged excess baggage fees, or not be allowed to load your baggage on the plane if it exceeds the specified dimensions and weight limits.

There is no dedicated service for changing or choosing your seat with Nantucket Airlines, but you can request a seat at check in, though this will be up to the airline’s discretion if they grant your request.

In-Flight Service

Unaccompanied minors between 5-11 qualify to be escorted by a Cape Air employee for a non-stop journey. However, if your child is flying with one of Cape Air’s partner airlines, such as United or American Airlines you will be expected to pay a fee, and must make an Unaccompanied Minor booking through that airline. With Cape Air you must provide all the appropriate paperwork and waivers for your child to travel alone on this carrier.
