It would be a crime to visit Kuala Lumpur and not get swept up in its gleaming architecture of rising skyscrapers. The most iconic of these, is the Petronas Twin Towers, which has dominated the KL skyline since it was built in 1998. Inside, there are more attractions than you would’ve thought possible: such as an art gallery, a plethora of restaurants, a concert hall, a cinema, a huge shopping mall, and a world-class aquarium that will delight children and adults alike.

After the Petronas Twin Towers, throw yourself into the bustle of street life in KL by visiting Chinatown. Perfect for shoppers who love sniffing out a bargain; go to the night market on Petaling Street for the best of both worlds.

For gourmets, you must make time for Jalan Alor, renowned for its Chinese seafood restaurants you will find diners spilling out into the streets looking to try the best food in the city.

Outside of KL one of the most popular trips is to go to the limestone Batu Caves. These are a series of incredible hollows and caves that have become important religious landmark for Hindus. Make time for Cathedral Cave, the most impressive, rising to a height of 100 metres, and holding within it several shrines.
