Popular flights from Russia

If you’ve been to the spectacular cities of Russia, the colourful Moscow and the imperial St. Petersburg, then you must make your next trip to Irkutsk (IKT). Visitors to this city located on the Trans-Siberian railway, will be drawn to this place primarily because of the remarkable UNESCO-listed Lake Baikal, the largest freshwater lake in the world. In summer, the lakeshore accommodates people wanting to take advantage of invigorating swimming, but in the winter, when the lake freezes over, this place takes on a magical feel.

Leave Russia behind for the treasures of Sarmakand (SKD), once a principal stop on the Silk Road, this incredible city of Uzbekistan holds within its heart the gorgeous Gur-e-Amir and Shah-i-Zinda mausoleums, and the Bibi Khanym Mosque. The best thing about it is that you can be exploring its streets in less than five hours of flying time.

However, if you’re looking for warmer temperatures, there are plenty of wonderful winter getaways you can organise. Fly to Los Angeles (LAX), the home of Hollywood, and filled with great cultural attractions from watching the Lakers throw a three-pointer in the Staples Centre, to surfing in Santa Monica, and shopping in Beverly Hills, there is something here for every traveller.
