Discover Ballina

The regional airport, located in Ballina, New South Wale (NSW), was renamed Ballina Byron Gateway Airport in 2005. It plays hosts to passengers from several leading airlines like Virgin Australia and Jetstar. The town of Ballina is home to some of Australia’s best beaches, rivers, rainforests and natural tourist attractions.

There are shuttle services connecting Byron Bay, and its surrounding areas, with the airport, such as Xcede, Byron Easybus, and Yamba Airport Shuttle. After that, visit the Big Prawn, Ballina’s representative on the “Australia’s big things” list. A cross between folk art and novelty architecture, the Big Prawn regularly attracts tourists, who stop by to take a photo before heading to one of the seafood stores across the road.
