About ANA (All Nippon Airways)

ANA, or the All Nippon Airways group, is a dedicated Japanese airline with an excellent reputation for safety and service. A Star Alliance member, this 5-star carrier’s mission statement is to bring the world together, and with ANA able to offer passengers up to 73 destinations, that is not an empty boast. You can check in a few ways with ANA, online, through the self-service kiosks or the staffed counters at the airport. Online check in is a newer service with ANA, and it opens 24 hours before take off. If you choose to check in at the airport, please leave roughly two hours before your flight’s scheduled departure to ensure you can pass the security checks in enough time.

All checked baggage must come to linear dimensions of at least 158cm. The amount of bags you can check will depend on your fare class; First Class passengers may bring three bags at 32kg, Business Class may bring two bags at 32kg, and Premium and standard Economy flyers are able to check two bags at 23kg. Please note that overweight or oversized luggage will be subject to charges at the airport.

Every ANA flyer is entitled to carry one bag onboard at a weight of up to 10kg, with linear dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 25cm.

ANA provides its passengers with a full onboard dining service, and the carrier prides itself on updating its menu regularly.

The entertainment system offers plenty of options for travellers looking to pass the time. There are movies, new releases and blockbuster hits, music, games, e-books and Sky Live TV. Customers will also be able to purchase duty-free goods on board, including perfume, jewellery, makeup and premium liquors.

Minors between the ages of 5 and 11 must book the Easy Travel for Kids Service on ANA and this must be reserved in advance and paid at full fare. On domestic flights this service is only required for 6-8 year olds, and is not available for any younger children. Any child under the age of 5 on an international flight, or 6 on a domestic one, must be accompanied by an adult of the age of 12 or over.
