Cheap Flights to Seville

San Pablo Airport (SVQ) is the main airport for the historic and dramatic city of Seville. Passing through this airport will give you a chance to access cash through their ATMs, grab a bite to eat in their restaurant, or the café, shop for goods in the duty-free shop, and contact your family with the free WiFi that runs through the airport.

Set at 10km from the centre of the city, you can hop on buses or hail a taxi outside the terminal. The second option is the pricier at roughly 20-30EUR ($29-43) for the journey, but it is the fastest way into town, only taking 15 minutes.

Standing since the 10th century, this gorgeous palace is filled with serene courtyards, opulent bedrooms, and lavish receiving rooms. It is also home to an exhibition of documents charting Spain’s colonisation of the Americas. Couple this with the Biblioteca Colombina, a collection of Christopher Colombus’ personal library.

Then why not wander through the heart of the city, Barrio Santa Cruz, once the old Jewish Quarter, this colourful neighbourhood of winding cobblestone streets is home to some of the city’s most interesting museums, galleries, and pretty gardens.

Lastly, if you get a chance you must try to go to the Museum of Flamenco Dance and learn about Seville’s most famous export, the sultry, passionate Flamenco dance. You can see a performance live in the evening, and witness the Sevillian personality in all its vigour.

Best time to visit Seville

·         The Mediterranean climate enjoyed by Seville makes it an easy place to visit between April and November, when the days average 20-36°C. The summer months of June through August are the hottest, and the most crowded, but there is a lot going on in the city. However, the end of spring, and the autumn months are less busy, and still beautiful.

·         Winters rarely dip below 15°C, and the crowds ebb at their lowest. But pack a waterproof, as this season sees a decent amount of rain.
