Port Macquarie Airport is a public airport serving Port Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia. It is operated by the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, located 2.25 nautical miles (4.17 kilometres) west of the city centre. It is the 12th busiest airport in Australia, with over 218,000 passengers and 5,236 aircraft movements in the 2010-2011 financial year.

Port Macquarie Airport resides at an elevation of 15 feet above mean sea level, with two runways that have asphalt and grass surfaces respectively. The asphalt runway measures 5,249 feet or 1,600 metres long with the direction of 03/21, while the grass runway measures 2,283 feet or 696 metres long, with the direction of 10/28.

Port Macquarie, a town on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, on the eastern end of the Oxley Highway (B56), is situated at the mouth of the Hastings River. It is known as a retirement destination, featuring notable beaches and waterways. Popular beaches in Port Macquarie include North Shore, Town Beach, Oxley Beach, and Lighthouse Beach, to name a few. Lighthouse Beach in particular serves an ideal place to walk your dogs off-leash. The town also takes pride in hosting the Billabong Koala Park, as well as the Koala Hospital of the Koala Preservation Society. The Koala Hospital is a one-of-a-kind facility that takes care of koalas injured by bushfire, dog attacks, and vehicle collisions. In the central business district, Port Macquarie is home to shopping centres, a marina, a coastal walk, and several specialty stores where tourists can shop for souvenirs. The CBD also features an arts, conference, and entertainment centre with a visitor information office.
