Why Fly With Brussels Airlines

Ways To Check-In

Mobile and online check in are available with Brussels Airlines, and this opens up 24 hours before your flight departs and closes an hour before the scheduled departure time. Airport check in is also available to Brussels Airlines’ travellers at the staffed counters, but you must ensure you leave enough time to transit through the security checks. General recommended arrival times are an hour for domestic or flights within the European continent, but for long-haul flights you should leave at least 2 hours for check in.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

The baggage allowances on Brussels Airlines are entirely reliant on your fare class. Within Europe, all fares may bring a carry on allowance of one piece weighing in at 12kg, with one personal item. For longer haul flights, or if you are on Light & Relax or Flex & Fast fares you may also check a 23kg bag at 158cm linear measurements. Bizz & Class fares may bring two carry on pieces that total 16kg cumulatively, and check one bag weighing 32kg and coming to 158cm linear measurements.

If you choose to bring extra bags, or your bags do not meet the above restrictions you will be charged. You can see a full list of charges and extras here.

Booking Fees

Pay your online reservations by credit or debit card. Reservations made through telephone can be paid in cash at the ticket desk.

In-Flight Service

Your dining experience on Brussels Airlines will give you a chance to try the best of Belgian cuisine. If you are on the cheaper fares, you can buy snacks and meals onboard, if you are Flex & Fast and Bizz & Class flyers will be offered complimentary food and drinks on your flight from Belgian Star Chefs, such as Dimitri Marit.

On long distance flights each passenger has access to a personal entertainment screen with TV shows, movies, music and games. Passengers may also bring tablets and laptops aboard if they have a flight safe mode.

Children from 5-12 qualify for the Unaccompanied Minor service, thought you must book this in advance and pay for the service. Fees are tied to how long the journey is and how far your child is travelling.

Reserving a seat involves filling out an online form and the airline will endeavor to accommodate your wishes.
