Flights to Cape Verde
Cape Verde, officially referred to as the Republic of Cabo Verde, is an island country and an archipelago consisting of 10 volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean. Cape Verde is 570 kilometres or 350 miles off the coast of Western Africa and covers an area of more than 4,000 square kilometres or approximately 1,500 square miles. The country’s capital and largest city is Praia, on Cape Verde’s largest island, Santiago. Compared to the African mainland, Cape Verde’s climate is milder, due to the surrounding sea that moderates temperatures on the islands, as well as cold Atlantic currents that produce an arid atmosphere.
