Riviera Maya Jazz Festival – the Riviera Maya Jazz festival is an annual music festival hosted in Playa del Carmen. It is one of the more popular events held in the small town, launched in 2003. Every November, popular jazz artists come down to the Playa to perform and croon audiences, which peak at around 20,000 per event. It is annually held every last week of November.

Quinta Avenida – Quinta Avenida is the centre of tourism in Playa del Carmen. It is a concentrated avenue filled with virtually almost everything a tourist values on his or her trip: hotels, shops, restaurants, bars, and many others.

Cozumel – just across Playa del Carmen is Cozumel, an island in the Caribbean Sea. It is located off the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, afloat the Mexican part of the Caribbean.
