As one of the busiest airports in Asia, flying from Tokyo allows you a lot of options. Whilst Haneda Airport (HND) handles most of the domestic flights from Tokyo, Narita offers its fair share. Or head to the northern city of Sapporo (CTS), and explore the beautiful scenery that surrounds this city. Both flights should take you less than two hours, perfect for a weekend getaway.

Short hops across the water, of about 3-6 hours can take you to Qingdao (TAO) China’s beach resort city, to Seoul (ICN) the urban and cool capital of South Korea, or throw the dice in reckless abandon in the old Portuguese settlement of Macau (MFM).

Flights further out, of up to 12-13 hours can take you to the starred walkways of Los Angeles (LAX), the mountains around Denver, Colorado (DEN), or the colourful and fascinating streets of Mexico City (MEX).
