The New Chitose Airport (CTS) serves the lovely city of Sapporo, and functions as the key aviation facility for the northern island of Hokkaido. The airport is a fair distance from the city, sitting roughly 50km away, but there are excellent connections between the two in the form of trains, buses and taxis.

Sapporo’s hub offers passengers the option to choose from almost 40 destinations on non-stop flights. These are to places all over Japan, the rest of Asia, and out to the South Pacific Islands, including the US state, Hawaii.
