And its attractions do not stop at its monuments, you can take in history by seeing some of the most popular shows on the planet, shop ‘til you drop down celebrated retail avenues, tour libraries older than some countries, and spend your evenings meeting the locals in the many restaurants, bars and nightclubs that cluster in this city.

Things to do in London

There is so much to do in London that you may find yourself a little overwhelmed, but there are some absolute must-sees.  You’ll find that most of these cluster along the great River Thames, where you can find the infamous Tower of London where heads were either crowned in jewels or lopped off entirely is one of the best attractions in the city. Nextdoor is Tower Bridge, an iconic landmark of London. Further along the banks you can find the Globe Theatre, the London Eye, and Westminster, one after the other, but don’t despair as you’ll find plenty of benches, ice cream stalls and cafes to take a break if your feet get tired.

Then there are the attractions of the Thames where you can tour the great rooms of Buckingham Palace, attempt to climb the great lion statues that guard Trafalgar Square, or dip in and around Charing Cross and Soho for a chance to see a hit show.

If shopping is more your thing, Oxford Street and Regent Street bisect one another with all the latest in high street fashion, and designer outlets. When the day is done, you can find a bite to eat around Covent Garden, or hit the popular clubs of Leicester Square—a perfect way to top off any tour of London.
