Cheap Flights to DR Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is a country in Central Africa bordered by the Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, and South Sudan to the north, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania to the east, Zambia and Angola to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It is the second largest country in Africa by area and the eleventh largest country in the world. It is also the most populous officially Francophone country, tipping at 75 million residents as of date, and is considered the fourth most populous nation in Africa. The country is also fondly called DR Congo (to separate it from another country whose callsign is Congo).

What to see & do
Tourism-wise, the country's rich natural resources has brought it up the pedestal; a beauty that is beyond compare. Various national parks and reserves, as well as water and land bodies welcome travellers who come to explore DR Congo, and its spectacular array of flora and fauna is simply extraordinary. Travellers who want to experience these types of adventures are advised to check the Virunga National Park, the Kahuzi-Biega National Park, the Salonga National Park, the Garamba National Park, the Okapi Wildlife Reserve, and many others. Travellers who are looking for something extraordinary may also view the Mount Nyiragongo from a distance, as well as Lake Kivu, the Boyoma Falls, and the Livingstone Falls. Alternately, they can also explore the inner forests of DR Congo by ferrying through the Congo River.

How to get around within DR Congo
The easiest way to go around the country is by truck, as smaller vehicles are unable to negotiate what remains of the roads. Trucks can be found near marketplaces, and drivers may take travellers typically everywhere, sans the danger zones for a price. Ferries are also pretty popular, along with train lines that are overcrowded most of the time. Other options include flying to domestic destinations, especially when going to the more remote places in the area.

How to get there
To get to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, or DR Congo for short, the N'Djili Airport, also known as the Kinshasa International Airport, is the best way to go in. The airport is the biggest international airport out of the four airports in DR Congo, and serves the most number of flights. Airlines that travel to the destination include Air Cote d'Ivoire, Air France, Arik Air, ASKY Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Turkish Airlines, and many others.
