Cheap Flights to Bengaluru

The Kempegowda International Airport (BLR), once known as the Bengaluru International Airport, was constructed in 2005, and opened in 2008, so this is a very modern facility. Bengaluru is becoming one of India’s premier cities because of its thriving industry in IT. You’ll find that with the success of this city, the options in terms of cuisine, nightlife, and attractions are only growing.

The Kempegowda International Airport is now the third busiest airport in India, with an accumulating passenger total, which has been climbing year on year towards 20 million people. This airport functions as an operations base for AirAsia India, Jet Airways, Air Pegusus, and Air India’s regional subsidiary.

Amenities at this airport include ATMs, currency exchange booths, and comprehensive Wifi access. There are also a wide range of restaurants, cafes and snack bars serving Indian cuisine, with some international options. There is an impressive duty-free section that you can take advantage of, with other retailers selling cosmetics, apparel, reading materials and local souvenirs. There are few well-stocked lounges, and decent facilities for disabled passengers.

Book a trip to Bangalore with Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Dragonair, Thai Airways, Air India, Singapore Airlines, Silkair, Dragonair, Cathay Pacific and Jetstar.

Travel Information

·         It is generally not advised to drive yourself when renting a car in India, but you’ll find that most car companies will hire out their vehicles with a driver. If you do drive, you have to take Grant Road to Dr Ambedkar Veedhi, and then join the Mumbai/Bangalore Highway. This road is the one that will bring you into the city. You can hire cars within the airport from a number of different agencies, or book a rental car online using our price comparison search tool.

·         There are public buses that offer services into the city for 100-200 ($2-4), but if you don’t fancy navigating the timetables or feel a little nervous catching the local buses, then consider booking an online airport transfer with the Skyscanner search engine.

·         Taxis are the easiest way to get into the centre of the city, but the duration and price sticking to a reasonable figure depends entirely on the traffic. You can pay anywhere from 600-900INR ($12-17.50), and the journey can take an hour or two if you travel during peak times.
