Within Port Louis, most streets are in rectangular grids, with many of them being one-way roads and are narrow. Being the central hub of businesses and government activities in Mauritius, expect increasing traffic congestion in Port Louis, especially during the day. Parking during this time can also be a challenge. To somehow reduce congestion, a ring road was constructed in the eastern side of the city.
Getting to your destination

Port Louis city centre can be reached via the M2 or via the M2 and A1. The city can be accessed through Le Paix St or Boulevard Victoria.

When driving to Curepipe, a town located in the Plaines Wilhems District, get to attractions like Curepipe Botanic Gardens, Trou aux Cerf Crater, Monvert Nature Park, St. Joseph’s College, and Royal College Curepipe.
Three alternative routes can be taken when driving to Curepipe. These are A 10, A 10 and Jerningham St, and B86 and M2.
