You can reach the Shannon town proper from the airport via N19. Head east and then take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto N19. Take the 2nd exit at Drumgeely Roundabout to stay on N19. The third roundabout is the Shannon Town Roundabout where you will take the 3rd exit. Take R471 to your destination.

Typically, when driving from the airport, the roads that surround the Shannon Airport area experience light traffic generally all days of the week.
Driving around Shannon Airport
The town of Shannon is well-connected with the rest of the country. The closest city to Shannon is Limerick, which is just 20 kilometres away. Aside from the national primary roads N18 and N19, the N7 (Dublin-Limerick), and the N20 (Cork-Limerick) also serves the town.
There are also national secondary roads that serve County Clare, including the N67 from Ballyvaughan via Ennistymon and Kilkee, before Kilrush; the N68 from Kilrush to Ennis; and N85 from Ennis to Ennistymon.

Lastly, get to Dublin, Ireland after going down R148 to O'Connell Street Lower in Dublin City. The total travel time from Shannon Airport to Dublin is around two hours and 16 minutes for 228 kilometres.

Go eastward then down N18 and N20 to R617 in Cork. Take the R617 exit from N20 then take Blarney Rd to Western Rd/N22. Take one left down Western Rd/N22 to reach the destination. Total travel time is around an hour and 41 minutes for approximately 125 kilometres. Please be advised that when following this route, there is a partial toll road along the way.

Reaching Limerick from Shannon Airport will take around 24 minutes for 25.2 kilometres. From the airport, head east down N19 and N18 to get to R445. Take the exit from N18 then down R445 to Rockspring Gardens in Limerick.
