There’s also the Pier Arts Centre for performances and exhibitions.

It takes 30 minutes to drive from Orkney Kirkwall Airport to Stromness, taking the road to Kirkwall and then picking up the A965. Both paid and free parking is available around the town, with the Ferry Inn car park a good option in the town centre.

Evie

Evie is a small village to the north of Orkney. It looks out towards the island of Rousay and many visitors make the trip to see the Broch of Gurness, the remains of an Iron Age village, dating back to 100 BC. Close by, visitors will also find the Sands of Eavie, a stretch of sandy beach with wild orchids, and the RSPB Birsay Moors Reserve, home to a variety of birdlife.

It takes 30 minutes to drive from Orkney Kirkwall Airport to Evie, taking the A960 towards Kirkwall and then picking up the A965 followed by the A966. The village is tiny and there is street parking as well as parking available at the Broch.
