On-street parking is constantly chargeable, even overnight and on weekends, and costs 30 (about £2.27) SEK per hour before 10pm and 2 SEK (about 15p) per hour overnight. There are also a number of car parks in the city centre offering unlimited parking. These usually charge 20-30 SEK (£1.50-£2.27) per hour.
At the centre of the Dalsland region, the idyllic little town of Dals-Langed makes the perfect base for a relaxing holiday in one of Sweden’s most beautiful regions.
It takes about two hours to drive to Dals-Langed from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. The region is mostly rural, so there are plenty of places to park your car. Most hotels and campsites have their own dedicated parking areas.
One of the Bohuslan Coast’s most picturesque villages, Fjallbacka is the perfect base for exploring the region. Eat delicious seafood, enjoy a ‘cosy crime walk’ (the village is home to writer Camilla Lackberg) or enjoy a boat trip out to the archipelago.
It takes just over an hour and a half to drive to Fjällbacka from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. Lots of hotels in the village have car parking.
