Had a quick view of Sheffield as I was only visiting the Octagon Centre, but from what I saw it definitely seems to be quite the city for university students. I didn't see anything particularly interesting, but then again I didn't really go exploring or into the centre itself.

Sheffield is a great city for students; it has tons of pubs and clubs, you can go party every day of the week.

Beautiful English university town with lots of great walking near by. University of Sheffield is an excellent school and there's a former poly there as well so plenty of students.

Even though I come from nearby Rotherham this is where I call home. It might not be as popular as other cities in the UK but none of them can compete with its scenery. Being on the doorstep of the Peak District within 30 minutes you could be enjoying some of the best scenery in the whole of England. It is by far the friendliest city in the north of England with a much smaller feel than its size would portray. It is also the birthplace of modern football, so the whole world should be thankful to a bunch of cricketers from Sheffield from the 1850s, as well as the cutlery that we all take for granted today.
