Not coming here again

This is not called a resort hotel. I would call a motel. There is no restaurant in the hotel. Lots of mosquitoes in the room. Thank god we booked this for 1 day only. The beach is 15 minutes walking. There are few restaurants nearby but not that good. The pool is nice. The bathroom is ok. We were 3 people in the room which we found it small. The lady nd the reception guy were good.

A good place to stay in Kamala

This is our second stay here. Modern rooms are a good size with nice comfy beds, good sheets, good hot shower and plenty of shampoo and body wash. A safe is available here too. Air con is brilliant and adjusts well which is more than can be said for a lot of hotels here. The balcony is a good size also with 2 chairs, table and clothes rack for drying. The hotel is clean with a nice refreshing pool and sun beds with shades available. There is no breakfast here since covid but down the road there are several restaurants and bars. It is about 10 minutes walk to the beach but you need to cross a busy road but the hotel is well set back so nights are quiet. The price is decent for what you get in Phuket as well. The staff are friendly and maids clean daily. We would definitely return if we pass this way in future.

- poor customer service and almost no help at reception. broken communication
- they cancelled my booking prior to my arrival. they are only interested in taking your money.
- resort next to sewage stream
- no computer check in process. made you sign on a sheet of paper to check in and the receptionist communicates on her phone to her manager about bookings. they showed me my name with a red line through it that was sent through by her manager claiming i had cancelled.
- show them my invoice through booking.com that i had paid and not cancelled. they still refused to give me the room i paid for and instead offered me to pay for another room instead.
- after showing them my confirmation booking and confirmation payment and still said they couldn’t find my booking and would have to go through booking.com for reimbursement. (booking.com cannot help because there isn’t a contact email or number for them to get in contact with the “resort”)
- so unprofessional, i wouldn’t recommend to anyone. (especially if you are SOLO traveling like i did)
- i left and decided to stay somewhere else, the vibe was off. i wouldn’t have felt safe.
- as a solo female traveler on my last night was by my worse experience in thailand my whole trip

Cancelled Our Reservation

We booked a 5 night stay in a deluxe double room at the 3-star Clear House resort for a bargain price 850 baht per night, making the booking a couple of months before our arrival on 10th December. On arrival we were told that our reservation had been cancelled! For the next two hours we were back and forth on the phone to Agoda who assured us our booking was fully paid for and still active. The woman working the reception was the most infuriating and frustrating front desk worker we have ever encountered. She made no endeavour whatsoever to assist us, refusing to phone Agoda and continually smirking and laughing as though she was taking some joy from our dilemma! After back and forth to Agoda for two hours she then informed us the hotel was full and did not have a room available for us anyway, unbelievable! She then offered us a room at their 2-star sister hotel with the same name closer to the beach for 1200 baht a night. We argued that we had booked this hotel, a 3-star at 850 a night and now you want us to move to a 2-star at 1200 a night! We managed to negotiate a price of 1000 baht a night but were not happy. We believe that the hotel is operating some sort of scam where they deliberately over book and then cancel the bookings for those that had booked at a lower price, only accommodating those that had paid the premium price. We will never ever stay here again and on our return to our home country will be reporting their actions to Agoda. Those contemplating booking here be warned.
