Nice hotel near Khlong Kong Beach
We stayed here with a group of friends in Feb/March and had a super nice time. Friendly owners, amazing staff, great breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms (ours was directly across from the beautiful pool!). So thank you for a great stay during these 4 days we were there! Only if you’re expecting to have direct beach access, think again! This place is not far from the beach but you’ll walk for 4-5 minutes to reach the sand. But the amazing pool at the Mellow Mango is so worth it: never have I ever experienced a pool in SE Asia that had cool water - even in the heat of these days during our stay! Overall we would probably stay here again on a future visit to Khlong Kong beach on Ko Lanta! Highly recommend!

Nice, small resort with compromises in comfort
The Mellow Mango Resort scores with its excellent location right on the beach. The complex is very sweetly designed and pleasantly manageable, which creates a family atmosphere. The staff is especially noteworthy: extremely friendly throughout, helpful and easy to handle.
The rooms are perfectly fine in size. The breakfast buffet is adequate , not a highlight, but it offers everything you need and has been completely sufficient for us. Highly recommended are also the massages that you can book directly at the resort, these were really very good.
Unfortunately, there are also some clear criticisms. The sanitary facilities are very outdated and should be urgently renovated. In addition, the water smells a bit sulphurous at the beginning. But you can survive, too.
Biggest criticism:
The rooms are not well soundproofed: In the evening you can hear the clubs on the beach, in the morning already the kitchen. From about 8 am the lawn is also mowed, which is also very loud.
If you are looking for a peaceful and restful sleep, we would therefore rather not recommend the resort.

Would recommend and will return
This was one of our favourite places that we stayed during our 3 week trip. We spent 3 nights here and it was very pleasant.
The mattresses were a lot softer than anywhere else we had stayed. The food was fine. I felt the sandwich we had was overpriced but overall the convenience of being able to get something there was good and made it worth it.
The place was spotless. The sunbeds aren’t comfy and the pool was clean.
The staff were polite and helpful and the location was amazing. Literally a minute from the beach which was quiet when we went and amazing for sunsets. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.
The thing I liked most was just the feel of the place, it was covered with plants and had a lovely clean, fresh, homey Swedish feel to it. We had a wrap around porch with a rocking chair in the shade to sit in and read. And a little table and chairs out side.
It was pretty but simple, all you needed.

A good place to stay on Koh Lanta
Excellent service from the sweet and kind manager! She is willing to assist with almost anything. Quiet and smaller intimate hotel, close to some decent restaurants, nice small pool, very short walk to beach, good quality scooters to rent. A bit expensive and the rooms were ok - small, lack any sort of closet and bathroom shower gets floor all wet. Overall, we recommend for a stay on Koh Lanta.

Another relaxing stay at The Mellow Mango.
Our second stay at this fabulous hotel. Rooms are a decent size with a comfy bed and a good bathroom. Staff are great and very friendly as are the hosts Johann and Sabine for whom nothing is too much trouble. The gardens are immaculate with a nice pool area. Located less than a hundred metres from the beach and same to the road outside where you'll find restaurants and a few bars.
