What a Wonderful Place!
We spent three nights in Lima at Atemporal. The hotel is an old residence beautifully repurposed as a boutique hotel. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to Huaca Pacllana and several great restaurants. We chose a smaller "comfort" room, as we figured we would be out and about much of the time. The room at first struck us as quite small, but we soon realized it cleverly had everything we needed. Breakfasts were delicious and served in the hotel's lovely garden. Most important, we so were impressed by the staff. Across the board they were friendly, warm, and ever helpful, and Fabrizzio is a superb host and conversationalist. One night we sat in the garden after dinner. Soft jazz played. The temperature was perfect. There was little traffic. A puppy barked in the distance. A hound responded. The experience was the very definition of tranquil.

Quaint and Convenient
This is a quaint bed and breakfast type place within walking distance to the Huaca Pucllana ruins, which are pretty cool if you’re visiting. It’s also a quick uber ride to the arts district (Barranco) and the beach area (MiraFlores). It’s a small building and almost looks like a residence from the street (I think only 6 rooms total). The breakfast is good. The location is safe. There’s a little kitchen area with snacks open 24/7 as well as someone there to help if you need anything. Would go again.

Very noisy - not worth the money at all
The hotel is surrounded by two busy roads and there is also a large construction site next door, which causes a lot of noise.
The windows in the room and bathroom are leaky and don't close properly. The noise penetrates into the room and you have no peace and quiet.
If there is a construction site nearby I would expect the hotel manager to let me know in advance.
We left the same afternoon we arrived.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by the nearby construction and the noise disturbances you encountered. While the construction is outside of our control, we are normally able to take the necessary steps to accommodate our guests in the best way possible.
Unfortunately, in this case, we were not informed of the construction in time, which prevented us from mitigating the impact during your stay.
That said, we’ve since taken extra steps to reduce the impact of outside noise in our rooms and have strengthened our communication with local authorities to avoid similar situations in the future.
