The hotel has the best location in the old town. As you step into old town it welcomes you. The room was pretty clean, the staff is one of the best that we have seen so far. Really recommended if you will stay in old town, kotor

Excellent hotel within the walls

We stayed at Hotel Vardar for two nights and absolutely loved our stay. It’s a beautiful boutique-style hotel located right in the centre of Kotor’s main square, within the Old Town walls, and the location genuinely couldn’t be better. Everything is within easy walking distance, from the restaurants, bars and shops to the marina and all of the historic sights, making it the perfect base for exploring Kotor.
We booked a standard double room and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. The room was comfortable, well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom was particularly impressive – modern, stylish and much larger than expected.
One of the highlights of our stay was the excellent service. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and eager to help. A special mention goes to the team for reserving us a table outside so we could watch the England game, which was a really thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated.
Breakfast was ok with a limited selection on offer, although we only discovered on our final morning that you can ask for freshly cooked omelettes. Had we known sooner, we definitely would have taken advantage of that each day!
Despite being right in the heart of the action, the hotel still felt relaxed and comfortable. Waking up in the Old Town and being able to step straight out into the beautiful square was a real treat.
Overall, Hotel Vardar is a fantastic choice if you’re spending a few nights in Kotor. The combination of its unbeatable location, spacious rooms, excellent service and charming boutique feel makes it easy to recommend. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would happily give the location a 10/10.

Hotel in Old Town Kotor

The hotel was nice and clean. The room appeared a bit dated but comfortable. Make sure to ask for a kettle as the room did not provide a coffee machine. Staying in Old Town was a good choice for us, but at night the noise from outside was pretty loud until about 11pm. Keep in mind that they don’t allow air condition use in Europe until May 10th so having the windows open is a must. Also, while the breakfast offering was ample, it doesn’t open until 7:30am. Most hotels open breakfast at 6:30am making it convenient for those who go on early tours, need to catch a flight, or simply want a cup of coffee/tea or some water.

Amazing boutique hotel inside the old town, but close to the gate. Highly recommended. The staff are very hospitable. Very clean, and beautiful interior.
