Not the best!

There no way this hotel is a 4 star. We ended up in a third room which we reluctantly took and if we had the money we would have moved to another. The room are dark and in need of upgrading the three rooms we viewed are not shown on the website and it’s misleading. There is building work ongoing at the moment so be prepared to be woken up at 7 with hammering. Breakfast was also poor quality and choice.

Ghastly. Find somewhere else to stay

Health and safety inspectors would have a field day. Staff were disinterested and didn’t respond once to a ‘good morning’. Carpets are old and have not been hoovered for a very long time. Smallest bathroom I have ever been in. My husband had to put one foot in the shower when he was on the loo. Window looked out to a brick wall. We had to walk one flight of stairs to take the lift to our room or two lifts. Ghastly hotel and a good 15 minutes from the train station

Worst hotel

This is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. On arrival the staff will give you the keys and you will have to figure out where to go and how the things work.
- hotel has three different lifts and very complicated system of reaching room
- The bathroom was in a shocking terrible condition, that made me feel me uncomfortable even going in there. There was no space to even move
- the picture wouldnt appear on the TV so I asked the staff member how to make it appear and she said she didn't know and brushed me off
- I asked for an iron which they couldn't provide as if there was only one iron in the whole hotel
- Wifi is terrible which makes your trip worst

Budget hotel

Positive points - comfortable bed, quiet hotel, good shower, mini fridge and safe, adequate breakfast.
Negative points - room very dark, small, stuffy.
Nice restaurants nearby, Gino Capitone was excellent pizza.
Supermarket right across the road.
20 - 30 mins walk from train station.

Very small room

Quite shocked at how small our room was, the first room we were given the air con didn't work, we asked to be moved and were told not today maybe tomorrow and give a portable air con unit, next day we asked about being moved, we were told the room number we were being moved to so went up to look at it and it was bigger than the first..Great! Went out for the day when we returned we were put into a different room much smaller than the first, we didn't think this was possible!! Air con in this room was working well but you literally couldn't move in the room it was so small, no window to let any light in to even make it feel bigger as it appeared to be shuttered up at the back of the building. We did speak with another family who said their room was large and quite nice so perhaps they just don't cater well for 2 females travelling on their own !
