A warm welcome awaits

A warm welcome awaits you at this little b & b. The lounge area is simple but calming and then you go to the bedroom. Amazing rooms clean and fresh with beautiful decor.
I would highly recommend as you have a nice park opposite then a few bars and cafes near by.
It is a must to visit and stay here
Come enjoy Rome from here

Lovely Stay

Stayed at the B&B for 2 nights. Was difficult to find the building at first, didn't realise it was a big green door.
Lovely welcoming feel when you enter the B&B with a communal area and small kitchen. Aren't allowed to cook in the kitchen however have access to the microwave, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
The room was standard, plenty of storage space, large double bed which was a little hard but didn't make me feel uncomfortable.
Small shower room which unfortunately because of the position of the shower, every time I had a shower I managed to get the floor very wet.
Good location. Around 20 minute walk to the Colosseum, 2 minutes to the tube and 10 minutes from the station/coach area. Plenty of restaurants I'm the area and a lot of gift shops.

Great Stay in Rome for Large Groups and Families

Mr Frill's accommodated our large group of 12 (Adults and Kids). Not only were they super responsive, they also made sure we knew how to get to places. Mark was there to answer our questions and gave us guidance on where to go for sight seeing. The metro was across the street and it's a quick 20 minute walk to the Colosseum. I was wary in the beginning because the neighborhood was not the cleanest but we quickly figured out that a lot of areas in Rome was like this. Once inside the apartment, everything we needed was there. Each room had access to a private bathroom which was a big plus. We were right across a park where there was a nice cafe and also activities for the kids. We loved the convenience of having the full kitchen and the large living area for socializing. Location was central to everything and close to many restaurants. Would definitely stay here again when in Rome.

Cozy and clean

NIce, cozy and clean place. Direct subway to Termini. One may not like the neighbourhood but the BnB is quite good with high ceiling. Hosts are OK. Wifi and breakfast is available. They don't allow cooking. Comfortable beds.

Almost perfect

I had booked a room with balcony with a view on Piazza Vittorio. Due to a mistake in their booking tool only a courtyard room was available. Gianpiero informed me about this issue one day in advance. He deeply apologised for the inconvenience and told me that there was no possible way to accomodate me in a balcony room because both balcony rooms were already occupied. He offered me a discount or a cancellation free of charge. I opted for the discount. Finding another convenient room last minute is not so easy when Rome is busy.
I asked for an early arrival and that was no problem. Could do my check in at 11 am which was great! Marilena, the super friendly host/cleaning lady arrived at 11 sharp. When finishing the paper work she offered me a nice cup of coffee. While enjoying the coffee she started cleaning the rooms. As far as I understood cleaning usually takes place between 1 and 3. Marilena understands how to clean. My room was spotless when I returned later that afternoon. Crispy fresh bedding and fresh very soft towels. Despite the fact that the balcony rooms are nicer and much bigger, the lay out of the courtyard room was good but a bit depressing due to lack of light. Don't think the courtyard is a guarantee for silence. Many condo's on that courtyard and I also think the kitchen of a restaurant. Quite noisy till late. Bedding is always very personal but for me the bed was very comfortable. The furniture is 50'/60' retro style. Huge tv but only the Italian free to air chanels. That is a missed chance hosting international guests. I did not need it but I tried the a/c and it is very strong and cool.
The common area and kitchen are huge with nice furniture and several seating areas. A nice mix of modern and retro. Very nice and cosy but all 4 rooms have very thin wooden doors. Some of them even with a gap. My room 204 was next to the kitchen and quite noisy especially in the morning. Construction works next door (out of the control of mr frills by the way) made it even worse. I guess the balcony rooms next to the entrance are not completely soundless either. All entries, exits, check in's and usage of the common area can be clearly heard in all of the 4 rooms. So light sleepers who like to go to bed early, bring your earplugs. A tip for the owners: Maybe a thick curtain on inside of the doors might better block the sound. Talking about a curtain, a real black out curtain was the only thing I missed in room 204. The bathroom is built into the rooms and not very big but very clean and everything worked fine. Soap and shampoo provided.
The self service breakfast (making your own breakfast in the kitchen) can be convenient for some because you are able to make it at any time you like. It is a pitty that the choice is quite limited. Lots of tea, different types of coffee (instant, brewed or Italian espresso) some juices and milk and lots of different cereals. But packed croissants, toast and cookies which was the only solid food available are not my thing. The quality of the items provided are not so good either.
I think I had booked a last minute promotion via booking.com and was given an extra discount due to the mistake with my booking. When paying the prices they publish on their own website I would think twice before booking. Quite expensive for what you get especially in low season.
With a descent breakfast and some adjustments this b&b could easily be in the top 50 of the Tripadvisor's rating instead of 1061. Because of some minor issues and the mistake with the reservation I can only rate 4 out of 5.
Anyway if I ever have a chance to visit Rome again I would not mind staying at mr Frills again but ONLY with the guarantee that the a balcony room is available :-).
