Wonderful

This is the second time I have stayed at B&B Barocchetto Romano. This time I stayed with my daughter for her birthday, and we were not disappointed
Perla and Riccardo are wonderful hosts and your every need is catered for ☺️ The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and have all you need.
The location is perfect a short stroll to the beach, a 10 minute walk to the metro to get to central Rome (30 minutes) and lots of restaurants/bars nearby.
If you are looking for somewhere with easy access to Rome, the beach, and a short taxi ride (just 20 minutes) from Fiumicino airport then this is the perfect place

Dear Angie,
having you back at Barocchetto Romano for the second time was already something very special for us, but welcoming you together with your daughter for her birthday made this visit even more precious. ❤️
There is no greater compliment for us than seeing a guest return. It means that what began as a stay has somehow become a little connection, and this is one of the most beautiful parts of our work.
Thank you for your wonderful words about our hospitality, the rooms and the location, and especially for recommending us so warmly to other travellers who want to enjoy Ostia, the beach and Rome while remaining conveniently close to Fiumicino Airport.
But most of all, thank you both for simply being such lovely guests. Having you here again genuinely felt like welcoming back friends rather than guests, and we hope there will be a third time — perhaps with another special occasion to celebrate together!
A big hug to you both from Ostia, and happy birthday once again! ❤️

Amazing hosts, amazing room & view, and great WiFi. Ostia is amazing, and Barrocchetto is a must!

Ostia is an amazing little town, and my stay was made perfect by this B&B. Where to start?… the hosts are so nice. They speak many languages, including (fluent!) English. The directions make accessing the B&B a breeze. Checkout & check-in are super quick and easy, though the hosts are sure to spend time providing helpful info on the town. They are neither pushy nor indifferent. I got to my room and there were beautiful flowers . The balcony and view are amazing, so close to the beach with amazing restaurants and cafes. Everything in the B&B is clean. Laundromats, gyms, supermarkets, and other useful places are within a few minutes walk. The WiFi is great, top speed! The breakfast is top notch. I usually don’t spring for breakfast at Italian B&B’s, and I didn’t here until the second morning whence I saw the marvelous spread. Definitely worth it! Be warned, you might like this B&B so much that you will need to extend!

Dear Jared,
what a wonderful review — thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience
Reading your words truly made us smile.
We’re delighted that you enjoyed every aspect of your stay at Barocchetto Romano, from the easy arrival and quick check-in to the warm welcome, the flowers in your room, and the time we spent sharing information about Ostia Lido. Helping guests feel comfortable from the first moment is very important to us.
It’s wonderful to know you appreciated the Terrace and sea view, the proximity to the beach, restaurants, cafés, and all the useful services within walking distance. We’re also very happy that the Wi-Fi, cleanliness, and especially the breakfast exceeded your expectations — and that you decided to try it on the second morning!
Your enthusiasm and kindness were a real pleasure to experience. And yes… extending the stay can definitely happen here!
We truly hope to welcome you back again for another visit — you will always have a home by the sea with us.
Warmest regards,
Perla & Riccardo

The perfect PERFECT place for couples dreaming of that balcony experience.

Okay, When I first arrived I literally cried years of Joy. THIS was the patio I had been waiting for! Perla and Riccardo looked so worried about me but I was just so happy I literally cried!
Flowers, a GIANT balcony with a view, attention to detail. Beautifully curated furnishings. It's literally everything I ever imagined a stay in Italy to be.
You need to know some things, because this place is NOT for the people looking for a Hilton. This is a place for people who want an authentic Italian experience. Owned and loved by a husband and wife team, there are only three rooms. We never really saw the other two couples, but when we did they were all smiles.
Our room had a private bathroom, but it is not attached to the room. Not an issue for us because it literally felt like we had our own privately staff Villa. We arrived to smiles and an offer of a delicious afternoon espresso on the patio. Breakfast magically appeared. The owners are the perfect balance of there and also away. They catered to us without it ever feeling like we had to entertain them or even notice they were there. They live off sight, so they are only around in the mornings and check in.
The BEST check in and key experience. They can turn your phone into a key!
The area- above a restaurant in a walkable square. Ocean walks and the beach are easy to access. I was worried at night that it would be noisy but the sidewalks roll up pretty early on weeknights and the Saturday night there was some nice live music until around 10:00. We had the perfect perch of a town that normally attracts Italian's escaping Rome for the day.
For all the places we stayed in Italy this one gave us that authentic feel I had been dreaming of. Anyone can find a sterile multinational hotel, and I'm often dissapointed by the lackluster experience of AirBnb (wham! Bam! Thank-you Mam!) This was perfect.
Warning that there aren't many touristy shops so if you're leaving to the airport next and wanting to buy souvenirs you will want to do that before you head out.

Dear Vivian,
we hardly know where to begin after reading your incredible words… ✨
Your review touched us deeply because you understood exactly what Barocchetto Romano truly is: not simply a place to sleep, but a small world created with love, passion, beauty, and emotion.
We will never forget the moment you arrived and burst into tears of joy on the terrace. Seeing your emotion — and later again when you left — genuinely touched our hearts and made us feel immensely proud of what we do every day. Those moments are rare and unforgettable, and we will carry them with us for a very long time.
Thank you for noticing all the little details: the flowers, the furnishings, the atmosphere, the balance between privacy and care, the breakfast moments, and the feeling of living an authentic Italian seaside dream here in Ostia Lido. Your description of the terrace and the square below captured perfectly the soul of this historic Liberty-style Boutique B&B.
We also smiled at your note about souvenirs
While it’s true that Ostia is not filled with the usual mass-tourism souvenir shops, there are still a few lovely little places very close to the B&B where guests can find small gifts and memories to take home. The historic center of Ostia is actually more about authentic local boutiques, artisan details, quality food, fashion, and real everyday Italian life — which is exactly part of its charm.
Thank you also for understanding something very important to us: hospitality, for us, is not simply a service — it is sharing warmth, care, and a piece of our hearts with the people who choose to stay here.
And knowing that among all the places you stayed in Italy, this was the one that gave you the feeling you had always dreamed about… that is something we will treasure forever.
Thank you again for your kindness, your sensitivity, and your beautiful energy. Guests like you leave a piece of themselves behind, and you certainly did.
We already miss you both and cannot wait to welcome you back to your Italian seaside home.
With all our affection,
Perla & Riccardo

Perfect location, the room, terrace and the warm welcome felt like coming home to family. I will choose this stay always from now when coming to Ostia.
Simple to take the metro mare to Rom and do some sightseeing.
